Casey and Danielle's visit to Myrtle Beach

A couple weeks ago, two of my very close childhood friends, Casey and Danielle, came for a visit! Danielle already had planned a trip to Myrtle Beach. Her parents have a house here now, so I get to see her a lot more now than I used to. Casey lives in Charlotte, and at the last minute was able to come down for a couple days while Danielle was in town so she could visit with us both at one time. We went to the beach, did some shopping, and went out to eat. Casey met Isabelle for the first time, so that was nice. I really enjoyed spending time with them...the visit was short, but very sweet!

Kenny Chesney Concert

As many of you know, Jeremy and I are big country music fans. Our anniversary celebration this year was a Kenny Chesney concert in Charleston, SC. It was a great concert and we really enjoyed ourselves. We arrived in Charleston in the afternoon and spent some time doing some shopping and had some dinner before the concert. It was also nice that our hotel was in walking distance to the coliseum, so we didn't have to worry about parking and traffic. It was a great time! We hated to leave our Isabelle for the night, but she had a great time hanging out with her Aunt and Uncle.

Our last two years of marriage have been very busy, but wonderful as well. I'm so thankful for my husband and our family. We look forward to many more great years together and pray the Lord's continued blessing over our marriage.

Pulling Up

Lately Isabelle has been pulling up to a standing position on EVERYTHING!!! It's her most favorite thing to do. She's starting to "cruise" along the furniture a little bit, so we're thinking that walking will be in her near future. However, she will occasionally let go without realizing and she immediately falls to her butt or tips over! Needless to say, she has already gotten her share of bangs and bumps already as she has been exploring the house more. My prayer is that the Lord will keep her safe now that she is becoming more and more mobile!

September 1st was my 28th Birthday. It was also mine and Jeremy's 2 year wedding anniversary, but we will be celebrating that in a couple weeks when we go to Charleston for a Kenny Chesney concert. We celebrated my birthday a week early, because Jeremy's mom was still in town and offered to watch Isabelle. Jeremy surprised me and got an oceanfront room for us for the night. We invited Jeremy's mom to come to the hotel pool with Isabelle, as well as my sister with her kids and Jeremy's brother and his wife. We all had a good time hanging out at the pool and lazy river. That night Jeremy and I had a delicious dinner and relaxed on the balcony watching the waves. On my actual birthday, we had a really nice family day. Jeremy, Isabelle and I spent the day together doing some shopping and went out to eat at the Olive Garden. Isabelle also turned 10 months old on my birthday. I can't believe she's almost a year old! She's pulling up on everything, and even started saying Dada last week! She's getting to be such a big girl!
