Lake George

Last month we drove up to Lake George, NY to spend a week with my brother and his family and my parents.  We had a really amazing time.  We got to meet my brother's new baby Brooke and they got to meet our sweet Logan.  It was a beautiful home in the mountains right on the lake and it was a very memorable trip for sure.  It was so fun having all the cousins together playing and having fun.  We did some fishing, riding bikes and many nights around the fire pit.  We went into town a couple times and ate a lot of good food.  The total drive was about 15 hours that we broke up into two days.  It was a little rough on the start, but once we got in our groove the rest of the drive wasn't bad, the kids were really good.

Here's Logan all ready for breakfast. This picture makes me laugh when I look at the expression on his face.

Thomas and Izzy were like 2 peas in a pod all week

Sweet Brooke!  I was so happy to meet her finally.  She is such a sweet, precious baby girl

Ice cream with Mamaw and Papaw!

5 kids ages 4 and under in one house for a whole week!

Izzy had her first taste of fishing and she loved it, she even caught a little fish!

This house had an awesome firepit, the kids loved making smores

I hate living so far from my big brother...there were some tears shed for sure when we left.

The awesome house we stayed in.

Izzy's first trim :)

As most of you know, it took FOREVER for our little Izzy to grow any significant hair.  She always had longer hair in the back and sported a sweet mullet for a while too! Now, at 3 1/2, she finally has a full head of hair.  Poor thing, she definitely has my baby fine hair, but on the upside hers has begun to grow really fast like mine as well.  Since I wanted her to have long hair for the longest time, I was reluctant to ever cut it.  However, in the last few weeks I noticed her ends were getting really ragged looking.  They were splitting and  uneven.  My mom and I decided we just can't let her run around with straggly hair anymore!  Izzy is a loose cannon these days, so I never know what's going to set her off and I was unsure how this whole hair cutting thing would go. Thankfully, she did really great and was actually excited about it.  We ended up trimming about 2-2 1/2 inches off of the ends.

Sitting up!

These pictures are three months old now, but I'm trying to catch up from not blogging for a couple months! These are pictures when Logan was about 6 1/2 to 7 months old.  The first picture is of Logan FINALLY sitting up by himself! He is the most content, laid back baby....so much so that has been in no hurry to sit up, crawl, etc.!  The pic of Logan on his belly was a rare sight, because for so long he hated to be on his belly and never really wanted to roll over.  As I write this now he's 10 months old and now he's scooting all over, but still not crawling.  Again, he'd be more than happy to just sit on the floor with a couple toys and not even move!  He is the polar opposite of Isabelle who was late walking, but still always on the go.  We just love love love our sweet precious Logan.

Karli and Roberts Birthdays

March 1st, my niece Karli turned 5 and on March 29th my nephew Robert turned 9.  They both had really cool parties this year.  Karli had hers at a local store called "Sparkles."  This place is every little girls dream. It's actually a store full of accessories and things little girls love.  In the back of the store are vanities across the walls with mirrors.  When the girls first arrive the girls working there let them sit at their own mirrors and they paint their nails. Next, they put makeup on the girls and then do their hair.  They get to pick out an accessory to take home and they get to keep the makeup they used on them.  Every girl gets dusted with princess dust (glitter) when they are done.  Afterwards they all get on stage and dance.  It was super cute and Izzy had a blast.

Robert's party this year was a game truck that came to his house.  It's a truck that pulls a trailor equipped with four big flat screen tv's across one wall.  Attached are multiple gaming systems and it's set up where all the kids can sit across from the tv's and play video games together.  They had the truck for 2 hours, however after about 45 minutes all the boys were out of the truck and running around the yard! It happened to be really nice weather that day after a long period of not so nice weather and they boys were anxious to be outside.  My sister wanted to get her money's worth for the truck and was able to get them all back in the truck for the last 20 minutes.

                                                     Inside the game truck

I thought this was funny...the game truck guy ouside playing basketball because none of the kids were in the truck!

Girls Weekend 2012

Girls weekend 2012 was held in Myrtle Beach this year!! We definitely missed Stephanie, but we had a wonderful time.  In order to give my girls a completely kid-free weekend, we stayed at my parents' home just a few miles away from my own.  We spent a lot of time relaxing, talking....and definitely eating!! We went outlet shopping, out to dinner and watched movies.  I'm so thankful for this group of girls.  We are all busy mommas, but when we get together it's like we were never even apart.  We have such an awesome bond and we are always there to encourage one another.  Love you girls!!

Casey's Baby Shower

Casey struttin' her stuff!

Logan lounging in the hotel getting some lovin from Daddy

Apparantly there was some sporting even on that Jeremy wanted to watch, so Izzy watched some cartoons on our phone.

Back in January, we traveled to Charlotte for a couple days to attend the baby shower of my dear friend, Casey.  We weren't sure how having a 3 yr. old and 6 month old in a hotel room for two nights would be, but we actually had a really great time.  Both kids slept well and were really well behaved.  We would all go downstairs in our pj's each morning for breakfast and Jeremy and Izzy went swimming in the indoor pool one day.  We also really enjoyed spending time with Casey and her husband Chuck and helping them get ready for their first baby girl.  The shower was really nice and I was so glad to see my dear friend Danielle at the shower, even if it was only for a short time.

WE'RE BAAAAAACK!

Thank the Lord, we were able to get our pictures back! Jeremy went on a golf trip and one of the guys is great at computers and was able to work some magic for us.  So, you can expect lots of blogging coming up to catch up on these past 4 months.  To hold you over, here is a pic of my sweet babies.  Look closely, Isabelle put some of her play lipstick on and kissed Logan's cheek to make a lip print.
