19 Weeks! - Almost halfway there!
At our last week's ultrasound appointment the doctor was out sick and we didn't get to see him. So, our appointment was rescheduled for today. Our doctor is really cool and pretty much every appointment says "wanna take a peek at the baby?" and does a little quickie ultrasound. Even though we just had one last week we can't get enough of seeing inside our baby's world and see how it's growing. For the first time we got a really good view of the baby's legs and feet. The picture above shows the baby's legs sticking straight up with it's feet crossed! How cute!! I've only seen pictures of the baby in the womb and I already think it's the most adorable baby I've ever seen!! haha The doctor said the baby and I are both doing really well. I continue to feel really good and I have been trying to exercise every day that I'm off of work. Speaking of work, I'm starting to feel the extra weight I'm carrying around and by the end of the day my feet, legs and back are killing me!! But I can handle it, nothing some massaging and a hot shower can't help. Otherwise, things are going really well, and I've been feeling the baby move pretty much every day. Thank you everyone for your continued prayers for us!

18 1/2 weeks - Ultrasound appointment
Today we had an appointment for a screening ultrasound. This one wasn't like before where they just take a quick look at the baby and listen to the heartbeat. This was an extensive ultrasound where the ultrasound tech checked for all the organs, hands and feet, facial features and measurements. We were so pleased to see that everything looked absolutely perfect on our baby. The organs that were supposed to be there were there, we saw two hands and two feet, a four chambered heart and a normal looking brain with correct measurements! I wasn't nervous because I knew our baby was healthy, it's just a load off to actually see that your baby has everything that it's supposed to! We were able to resist the temptation to find out the sex of our baby, so she stayed away from scanning that area. The doctor wasn't in the office today so we'll go back next week to see him. It was a really exciting experience for us to have seen what looked like just a "blob" 10 weeks ago to now look like an actual baby! We are so incredibly blessed and thankful to the Lord that everything looked really great on our ultrasound today. Now, that I'm almost halfway through I'm getting anxious to meet this little one!

17 weeks!
Monday marked week 17 of my pregnancy! I'm feeling really good lately. I feel like I have a lot of energy and feel pretty much like my normal self. I think I'm definitely feeling the baby move. I've felt it for a couple weeks, but wasn't sure. However, as I feel the same feeling over and over I realize that it's got to be the baby moving! Sometimes it feels like bubbles inside my belly and other times it feels like it does if you just touch your arm real lightly with one finger...like a little tapping. It's so amazing, it's still so hard for me to believe that our little baby is in their moving and growing! This whole experience has been so surreal and wonderful! The weather down here has been super hot lately, with dangerously high temperatures and heat indexes. We've been keeping cool though, you pretty much have to either stay inside the air conditioning or be in water! We spent the day at the pool today. I finally had to break down and buy a maternity bathing suit! That's ok though, all part of the experience! Please continue to pray for us and our precious little one as we continue on this journey!

Hard Rock Park
Read the sign behind Jeremy...I thought this was hilarious! I laughed about this all day, it is so my type of humor : )
This is inside the park...my belly looks really big in this picture!
That roller coaster is the biggest in the park, it's called "Led Zeppelin." Jeremy rode it and said it was pretty cool.
On Tuesday, we had the opportunity to check out the new theme park that came to our town for free! It's called Hard Rock Park and it's the very first of it's kind. As you can probably tell it's a rock-n-roll themed amusement park. It's pretty small compared to the big name theme parks, but we were actually pretty impressed and had a really good time. The whole time you're walking around the park there's rock-n-roll music being blared from speakers. There's many different themed sections like "the 70's," "British Invasion," and "Rock-n-roll Heaven." I wasn't able to ride any rides, but Jeremy rode a few. I just enjoyed walking around and looking through all the stores and all the detail they put into this place. I would recommend checking this place out to anyone who comes to visit!
