Sampling all the different flavors at World of Coke
A. Rod takes the plate!
This past week Jeremy and I got the opportunity to go to Atlanta for a couple of days...ALONE!! I got Jeremy tickets to see the Braves and the Yankees play for Father's Day. Both of our moms are in town, so we knew this would be the perfect time for a little getaway. We arrived in town Tuesday afternoon and saw the game that night. We had great seats and it was perfect weather. The next day we went downtown and checked out the World of Coke museum. It was really cool, we checked out tons of Coke memorabilia and even saw a 4d virtual reality movie about Coke. The tour ended with sampling all the different coke flavors from all over the world. It was basically a room full of fountains and you go down the line tasting each one, we tried about 30 different flavors!! Jeremy works at New York Prime in Myrtle Beach, but there is also one in Atlanta. A friend of Jeremy's that used to work at the one here is now an operating partner in the Atlanta location, so we went there for dinner and visited his friend. Afterwards, we jumped on the subway and headed over to try to catch some of the baseball game. We were able to get in around the 4th inning and had nosebleed seats, but we still enjoyed it. Thursday, we headed home, eager to see our little girl!! We missed her so very much, but knew she was in good hands. Even though we missed our baby girl terribly, we knew it was important to invest time into each other as well. All in all, we had a great time and Isabelle was able to spend some quality time with her grandmas!

Father's Day
Jeremy got to enjoy his very first Father's day this year. Jeremy's mom, Isabelle, and I made Jeremy breakfast in bed to start off his special day. We then went to church and Jeremy played a round of golf that afternoon. That night we just spent some family time at home. For Father's Day, we got tickets to see the Braves play the Yankees in Atlanta. Both of our moms are in town so we knew we should take advantage and go away alone for a few days. We had a great time (post and pics later!). Since Isabelle was almost 3 months old, Jeremy has spent 13 hrs a day three days a week taking care of Isabelle all by himself while I'm at work. Two of those days are his days off and one of them he actually has to go to work that evening after watching her all day. He has done a phenomenal job with her. I always knew Jeremy would be a great daddy, but he has completely exceeded all my expectations. He is so sweet and tender with her. He takes such excellent care and is so in tune to her and her needs. I love seeing them together, they are crazy about each other. She's definitely a certified daddy's girl. I often tell her that her pinky must be sore from having him wrapped so tight around it!! I know they will always have a really great relationship and be super close. I'm so thankful for the amazing husband and unbelievable father Jeremy is. Thank you Jeremy for all that you do and for loving me and Isabelle so much...I'm truly appreciative and grateful for you!

Summer Fun!
Having fun in her new beach tent!
Napping at the beach
Isabelle loves big sunglasses like her mommy!
Lately, Myrtle Beach has been REALLY HOT!!! To stay cool in these blazing temperatures, we've been spending some time at the pool and the beach. Isabelle loves the pool. However, she's not sure about the beach just yet! We bought a little tent that she can sit under to get some shade and keep the sand from blowing on her. We bring her to the water and let her splash a little bit on the edge, but it's not like the pool where she can sit in her float and play. I think when she gets a little older she'll enjoy running around and playing in the sand. We're so excited to spend this first summer with Isabelle. We hope everyone is staying cool!

OBX 2009
Sweet Mason and his adorable grin!
Bathing Beauty!
Babies and Mommies!
Isabelle and her Aunt Miranda hanging out!
Steph and Ryan catching some rays
I know this is a little late, but I definitely wanted to write a post about our awesome trip we had in the Outer Banks over Memorial Day weekend. Jeremy, Isabelle, and I along with four other couples and 3 other babies spent a couple days in a house right on the sound in Kill Devil Hills. It's been a few years since our Liberty University group of friends have been able to have our annual OBX trip, so we were all very excited. Of course this trip was a little different since we had four babies under 18 months old!! However, all the babies were really great and we had a wonderful time. Isabelle really enjoyed the little pool and playing with the other babies. We often had it arranged so the girls would watch the babies while the guys went out on the jet skis etc., then we would switch. We are so proud of Isabelle for being such a good girl on her first vacation. All in all, we had a great time, with great friends, and great food too! I'm so thankful for my LU friends, and for the way they've accepted Jeremy in the group like they've known him all along...that really means a lot to me. I look forward to all of our future get-togethers...no matter how crazy they get, especially as our group keeps growing (wink wink)!!!

7 Months old!
On June 1st, our precious baby girl turned 7 months old. This has been quite a month for Isabelle...and us too! When she turned 6 months old we started baby food, but ended up taking a break from it 3 weeks later. She started out doing ok with it the first few days, but then decided she wants nothing to do with it!! She would turn her head away, squeeze her lips tight, and even push our hand away! The whole experience became so traumatic, we decided we would take a break from it for a while and try again later. She's still on breastmilk, so we were assured that was all she really needed for her nutrition anyway. As far as sleeping goes, she usually takes 3 naps a day, one long one and 2 other catnaps. Much to our dismay, Isabelle still is not sleeping through the night!! We've tried many techniques all to no avail. I'm still not sure if she's truly hungry when she wakes up, or just wants to nurse for comfort. Hopefully, a full nights sleep will come very soon!! Our sweet baby has become so curious lately. She grabs at EVERYTHING within arms reach! She loves to explore and grab at things around her, and of course everything goes right to her mouth. She continues to drool like a faucet and chew on everything, but still no teeth. Isabelle is becoming more fun everyday. She's laughing all the time now and loves to play. She continues to smile almost constantly, especially when she sees me or Jeremy...it totally melts our hearts! We're so thankful for our sweet baby. Please pray for her continued growth and health in the months to come.
